EIB (École Internationale Bilingue) Paris

EIB (Ecole Internationale Bilingue) is one of the oldest bilingual school networks in Paris, founded in 1954 and a member of the Globeducate group since 2011. It spans eight day schools across central and western Paris and the western suburbs, educating roughly 3,000 students from more than 70 nationalities from nursery (age 3) through to the end of secondary (age 18). The model is genuine French/English bilingualism rather than an Anglophone international school grafted onto France: classes run on the French Ministry of National Education programme, with a large share delivered in English (commonly described as roughly 50/50 at primary level) and around a quarter of teachers English-speaking.

The curriculum backbone is the French Baccalaureate, where EIB reports strong outcomes (100% pass rate with 98% honours on the school's own figures). At the senior end, the Lycee EIB Etoile broadens the offer: it delivers the Baccalaureat Francais International (BFI, the successor to the OIB) in a British section, and it is an authorised IB World School (authorised 15 March 2021) running the IB Diploma. Younger campuses prepare pupils for Cambridge English examinations alongside the French programme, so a family can move from a bilingual primary into a lycee that offers nationally-recognised French, Franco-British and international diploma pathways.

Governance is mixed: of the eight EIB schools, four operate sous contrat d'association with the French state (including EIB Monceau) and four are hors contrat, though all follow the national curriculum. As a French establishment, EIB is overseen by the Education nationale rather than a graded inspectorate such as Ofsted, so there is no published verbatim inspection band to cite. Published fee data is partial: the most clearly sourced figure is EIB Grenelle at roughly EUR 15,393 to EUR 17,051 per year for 2024-2025 via a third-party directory, and fees vary by campus and grade. The schools are urban day schools with no boarding provision. Note that ICS Paris, a separate Globeducate IB-focused school formerly branded 'EIB - The Victor Hugo School', is a distinct entity and should not be conflated with the EIB network proper.
