Southbank International School

Southbank International School is a full-continuum International Baccalaureate school in central London, founded in 1979 and now part of the Cognita group. It delivers all three IB programmes - the Primary Years Programme, Middle Years Programme and Diploma Programme - across campuses in Hampstead, Kensington and Westminster, serving students from age 2 through 18. English is the language of instruction, with embedded English as an Additional Language support for younger students who arrive with little or no English.

Academically the school reports strong Diploma outcomes. For the Class of 2025 it published an average score of 35.4 points against a stated global average of 30.58, with three students achieving the maximum 45 points. The school positions itself as one of London's leading IB schools and draws a notably international community of around 70 nationalities, with more than 20 languages represented at its Westminster campus.

The school is an IB World School authorised across all three programmes and is inspected by the Independent Schools Inspectorate (ISI). Fees are at the premium end of the London international market - up to £16,033 per term for the Diploma Programme in 2026/27, inclusive of VAT, alongside deposit, capital and application charges. The school is a day school with no boarding, operating across multiple central-London sites rather than a single all-through campus.
