German International School of Silicon Valley Curriculum: National 2026

GISSV follows the German curriculum of the state of Thuringia, delivered through German–English dual immersion. It leads to two dual credentials: the German International Abitur (DIA) and the California High School Diploma. It is not an IB or Cambridge school. German and English are the languages of instruction; knowledge of German is required for all children enrolling after Grade 1, so the school is best entered by non-German speakers in the early years. It does not run a structured English-as-an-Additional-Language programme.
