Geneva is one of the birthplaces of international education: the International School of Geneva (Ecolint), founded here in 1924, was the world's first international school and the place where the IB Diploma was created. Home to the UN's European headquarters and a large diplomatic community, the city sustains a dense cluster of English- and French-medium international schools serving globally mobile families.
