Frankfurt is Germany's financial capital, and its international schools serve the banking, consulting and corporate families who staff the city's headquarters and the wider Rhine-Main region. The options are anchored by long-established IB schools founded to educate expatriate and diplomatic children, alongside newer bilingual and single-curriculum campuses. Germany has no Ofsted-style graded public inspectorate that publishes an Outstanding/Good band for international schools — the state education authorities (Kultusministerium) recognise schools and assure statutory standards, but they issue no comparable graded rating. Because of this, «BrightKey» verifies quality through international accreditation and programme authorisation — CIS, NEASC and the IB — rather than any state band. For that reason Frankfurt schools are capped at a top rating of A: we reserve the S tier for schools carrying a genuine verbatim top graded band from a public inspectorate, which German schools do not have.
