Application strategy
Applications are through UCAS with a January 25 deadline for equal consideration. Typical offers range from IB 36-38 points (with 6,6,6 at Higher Level) to A-Level AAA for most programs, rising to A*A*A for the most competitive courses like Management and Computer Science. English language requirements are IELTS 6.5 overall (no less than 6.0 in any component) or TOEFL 90+. No SAT or ACT is required for US applicants. First-year students are guaranteed university accommodation if they apply by the deadline, with most housed in campus residences on Claverton Down. The standard undergraduate program is four years including the integrated placement year, which is a defining feature of a Bath degree. The Graduate Route visa allows two years of post-study work in the UK, though this is expected to reduce to 18 months from January 2027. Strong personal statements should demonstrate awareness of the placement year model and how it connects to career goals.
