Open Data

BrightKey publishes two open datasets under CC-BY-4.0 — free to cite and reuse, including commercially, with attribution. We release only verifiable public data and accept no payments from the institutions we cover.

To our knowledge, no major education-ranking organization (QS, THE, Niche, Studyportals) publishes a structured open dataset. This is part of BrightKey's independent, transparent stance.

Universities dataset

199 universities across 15 countries, independently rated on six dimensions (Network Strength, Curriculum Relevance, Employability, Teaching Quality, Institutional Health, Student Experience), with country and dimension metadata.

International schools dataset

114 international schools across 18 cities — the verifiable public-data spine (curricula, fees, accreditation, inspection ratings, IB averages, A-Level results). Missing facts are never imputed.

Both datasets are released under CC-BY-4.0. You may copy, adapt, and redistribute, including commercially, with attribution to BrightKey and a link to brightkey.co. We release the factual spine; the editorial tier ratings and rich-profile prose are copyrighted and not included in the datasets.
