Process
Can an education consultant guarantee university admission?
No — and any consultant who guarantees admission is a red flag. No ethical consultant can promise a specific outcome, because admissions depend on the institution's decisions, not the consultant's. What a good consultant guarantees is a rigorous, strategic process: honest target-setting, profile building, genuine essay coaching (not ghostwriting), and applications that represent the student's authentic best self.
Be especially wary of consultants who ghostwrite essays — admissions readers are trained to detect manufactured, consultant-polished applications, and US platforms like the Common App have shifted to rewarding 'messy, authentic' growth over polish. Ghostwriting can actively harm an application.
BrightKey's stance: we guide and review, the student owns their narrative. We also measure success by fit, not just placement — a student who thrives at a well-matched university beats one who struggles at a more selective name.
